We are a 501(c) (3) tax-exempt charitable, national non-profit bereavement outreach organization available to those who are grieving a suicide death of family or friends. We also assist professionals who work with those who are grieving a suicide tragedy. Friends For Survival, organized by and for survivors, has been offering suicide bereavement support services since 1983. All staff and volunteers have been directly impacted by a suicide death.

We provide a safe space that is anonymous and confidential where callers can speak on many different issues and concerns including, but not limited to, coming out issues, gender and/or sexuality identities, relationship concerns, bullying, workplace issues, HIV/AIDS anxiety, safer sex information, suicide, and much more.

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the United States. We’re committed to improving crisis services and advancing suicide prevention by empowering individuals, advancing professional best practices, and building awareness.

RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE, online.rainn.org y rainn.org/es) in partnership with more than 1,000 local sexual assault service providers across the country and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help survivors, and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.

Teen Line is an anonymous, nonjudgmental space for youth. Through our hotline, teens can access personal peer-to-peer support from highly trained teens supervised by adult mental health professionals. Our work extends to providing outreach and support to schools and other youth organizations.

The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) young people. One accepting adult decreases the risk of suicide by 40% for LGBTQ young people. We provide LGBTQ youth with 24/7 crisis counseling via phone, text, and chat. Legislation, movements, education, and more — there is so much we do every day to change our world for the better.

Trans Lifeline provides trans peer support for our community that’s been divested from police since day one. We’re run by and for trans people.

Aurora Pride, founded in 2019, is a 501c3 organization whose mission is to promote LGBTQ+ acceptance and community in Aurora, IL. We have our origins as part of Indivisible Aurora but are now an independent sister organization. Our primary projects are the Aurora Pride Parade and educational activities.

Our priority is to bridge the gap between LGBTQ+ families and the greater Chicagoland suburban community in order to build better understanding and support, ultimately cultivating a stronger community for all.

Joliet Pride Network is a community based organization dedicated to inclusion and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ and Ally community.

The LGBTQ+ Center Lake County is an open and affirming environment for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. We provide support, education, resources, and advocacy to achieve a stronger and healthier world for LGBTQIA+ people and allies. With collaborative networking in Northern Illinois we will empower our community to provide a safe space to support and celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride, diversity, equity, visibility and community building.

The Democratic Women of McDonough County started PrideFest in 2019 under the leadership of Heather McMeekan. In June of 2021, the decision was made to make a whole new organization to not only run PrideFest but also to work with local businesses to help Macomb be the very gayest city in Western Illinois!
